It is our pleasure to invite you to the QCATS conference, to be held at the USC campus in Los Angeles, May 19-21, 2027. The meeting will cover a broad range of topics in physical chemistry, including:

  • Excited states and open-shell species

  • States in the continuum

  • Spectroscopy

  • Reduced-scaling methods for large systems

  • From molecules to materials

  • Biomolecules

  • Relativistic effects

  • Spin and chirality

  • Synergy between experiment and theory

In addition to technical sessions, the symposium will include Freedom, Courage, and Reform: The Future of the Scientific Enterprise Session, co-sponsored by USC Open Dialogue Project and Heterodox Academy Chapter at USC, focusing on issues of broader significance (academic freedom, viewpoint diversity, etc).

The program will comprise invited talks, a poster session, and panel discussions. The symposium will honor Prof. Anna Krylov on the occasion of her 60th birthday.
